Ribeira de Fefinans Volatil Vino Blanco 2018 Galicia Spain

From grapes farmed on the banks of Arnoia river in north-west Spain, this wine sings with deliciously green orchard fruit Ñ think rich, ripe apples and pears Ñ but is still as refreshing as a Galician river running over stones. Treixadura usually adds body and crisp fruitiness to white blends in both Galicia and north-west Portugal but here it stands on its own in all its glory. Although this is only fermented in neutral vessels, there is a subtle creaminess and food-friendly texture that makes it a great foil for substantial fish dishes Ñ perhaps roasted halibut wrapped in parma ham.
