Can Leandro La Lloma 2022/2023 Valencia
A blend of 60% Bonicaire, an old local variety, and 40% Monastrell, aka Mourvedre, this is the sort of new wave red that is getting people excited again about Spanish wine. Bright and clear with a cherry sweetness on the nose but a rustic, tang of blood and a whiff of horse hair that gives it a delicious savoury side on the palate. Dangerously drinkable and totally intriguing. Try it with braised meat or spicy stews.
