The wines of Domaine Gouye in St Joseph fly under the radar but are something of a cult favourite with afficionados. Lost in time, they make wonderfully peppery, cassis-scented, lifted syrah, and this introductory cuvee belongs to the generous bistronomy of nearby Lyon and its bustling bouchons.
