Simon Bize Savigny les Beaune Blanc 2018
The name Bize is synonymous with the village of Savigny, the home of delicate pinot noir and chardonnay on a side valley adjacent to the hill of Corton. This is full of surprises and miles away from the oaked chardonnay cliche. Brisk, mineral and carrying an unmistakeable note of hazelnut, this has bags of freshness, and a hint of flint. Reminiscent of grand cru Corton Charlemagne, and therefore an exciting value too.
