Domaine Alain Michelot Nuits Saint Georges 1er Cru En La Perriere Noblot Blanc 2020 Burgundy

White Nuits St Georges is seen much less than red, but it can be a rare treat, as in this case. From a beautifully sited premier cru on the Vosne side of the appelation, this is rich and broad with a compact finish and silky, elegant texture. Aged in 25% new oak there are notes of tarte tatin, ripe apple and sweet spice, but with great restraint. A finely framed white Burgundy that would be a pure indulgence with sole or turbot.
