Erdevik Trianon 2018 Serbia

The picturesque vineyards of the village of Erdevik, nestled in the Western foothills of Fruska Gora, have produced wine since Roman times, and they are still celebrated as among Serbia's finest sites. This blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Syrah, 14% Merlot put us in mind of an old school Australian blend, with rich, ripe gutsy fruit, really well defined and balanced by fine tannins and juicy acidity. A characterically bold Balkan take on a classic blend, this is delicious and cries out for a good steak.
