This grape is in fact a pink mutation of the white grape rkatsiteli, which gives a wine somewhere between a white and a rose. This won't be for everyone, with its lightly volatile nose recalling an aged palo cortado, seguing into a palate with a hint of varnish and real acid tang and bite. But it certainly feels like the kind of thing that Jason might have drunk in Georgia, the mythical land of milk and honey.
